Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected as the 5th overall pick by the Wings at the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was conceived on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are her brothers. The youngest sibling, she received the most attention from her parents. Gregory's father served in the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale has a very engaged family. Her brother Dare played football and Yolanda, her mother, used to play softball. The aunt she played with was a volleyball player for UAPB as well as Endia is a Volleyball player on the team at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale's name was on the honour roll at her school three consecutive year. High school earned her respect as well as fame. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in her home town. Apart from studying Arike was a member of three teams on the varsity level while she was at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School. Ogunbowale led her team to several successes thanks to her impressive skills. She compiled her high school record with 73 starts in her career and lists career totals of 1 477 and 739 rebound. Ogunbowale competed in 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships in which she was awarded gold medals. In July 2014, she was selected to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first collegiate campaign. Ogunbowale's basketball career is getting off to a great start, and she will continue in that direction.
